At Brubi, our journey into creating wooden toys and children’s furniture began in the most personal way—through our daughter. She became the spark behind our passion for making beautiful, functional, and natural play accessories for little ones.
From Furniture to Montessori Play
Before Brubi was born, we had been crafting quality furniture for several years. When our daughter arrived, we spent many hours in the workshop - often with her by our side, bundled up and curious about everything around her. As she grew, the workshop became her playground. Surrounded by nuts, bolts, fabric scraps, strings, and wooden pieces, she naturally gravitated toward Montessori-style exploration.
One Curved Board, Endless Possibilities
As we watched our daughter explore the workshop, we started to see the beauty in natural materials - especially wood. Its warmth, texture, and durability made it the perfect companion for play. Over time, we became convinced that wood and other natural, non-toxic materials are the best choice for every child’s development, creativity, and wellbeing.
This realization led us to a clear decision: we wanted to create more than just toys. We wanted to craft wooden climbing frames, Montessori play furniture, and accessories that would support active, meaningful play - designed with both children and nature in mind.
